Referee's Charter

 
1. All clubs and age groups to provide names of officials who will be officiating their games, including referees number if they are qualified.

2. Any team requiring a referee for an official WRGFL match when their own nominated referees are unavailable, should, in the first instance approach the League's Referees Co-ordinator to appoint a referee. The Co-ordinator will appoint a referee from the list of referees registered, with priority shown to those who are also players within the League.

3. Referees payment of £20 plus travel expenses to keep in line with the County F A guide lines regarding junior football. Assistant referees if required £10 plus travel expenses. Travel expenses are 20p per mile. Home teams will be responsible for payment, except for Cup and shield semi finals where the payment is shared by both teams.

4. All clubs and teams to be aware that verbal abuse to a referee or a poor standard of referee are not acceptable and will not be tolerated by the WRGFL.

5. WRGFL's Referee's Co-ordinator will collect data on each referees performance. Any referee consistently failing to attain a certain level as determined by the Co-ordinator, will be assessed.

6. Referees with cause for complaint regarding clubs, team, players or spectators will be able to do so, in writing, through the Referee's Co-ordinator.

8. For Cup and Shield finals the Referees Co-ordinator will be responsible for all appointments. All referees must be at least 2 years older than the age group they are officiating.
