Chadwick off to Prague !

Goole Town and West Riding Girls League youngster Naomi Chadwick is on her way to the Czech Republic for a ten day stay with England under 17's

Chadwick was originally put on standby for the UEFA European Women’s u17 qualifiers but has now been called into the squad and travelled to Prague on 22nd March where she's hoping to get a start when England take on The Czech Republic, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Naomi played boys football for Pollington Panthers before reaching the age when she had to start her girls career.

Faced with a wide choice of clubs Naomi chose Goole Town Girls and it was a choice that led to success not only as a club player but eventually to the full England U17 squad.

From 2003 onwards, for four consecutive seasons, Naomi Captained the Goole Town squad in her age group to 4 consecutive league titles – 1 in the East Riding and 3 in the West Riding.  During this time she scored 173 League and Cup goals for Goole in 89 appearances.

Towards the end of her stay with Goole she was recommended to the Centre of Excellence system and took part in first the East Riding FA C of E programme and latterly in the Hull College programme. More recently she was selected to spend a week at the FA’s Bisham Abbey Centre were she underwent an intensive week’s training with prospective England U17 players.

Goole Town chairman Kevin Shipp said:
"It's fantastic news for the club and a well deserved honour for Naomi who has shown a 100 per cent professional attitude in everything she has done at the club on and off the field"

Mark Shipp, Naomi's manager and coach for the past four seasons, said:
"Not only is she a very talented player but she has always shown a great attitude to the rest of the squad and never gives less that 100 per cent in training and matches.
"She deserves the recognition she is receiving."

Naomi added: "It's all down to the coaching I have received at Goole Town Girls."
