The Open Age Cup Final

Bradford City    2 - 0    Leeds City Vixens

Sun 4 May at Ossett Town FC

Bradford City retained their 100% record for the season but only after an epic Cup Final encounter with rivals Leeds City Vixens

Leeds were first out of the blocks and the Bradford defence needed to be at their best to keep the Vixens at bay but City finally began to make their way into the game and almost took the lead on the half hour but the woodwork came to the Vixens rescue and the game remained without a goal at the half time break.

The second half produced plenty of end to end action to keep the supporters on their toes and the game could have gone either way but it was Bradford who eventually made the breakthrough when Claire Fawcett stayed cool to place the ball into the bottom corner of the net.

The Vixens continued to threaten and deserved to get something for their part in a highly entertaining game but when Fawcett doubled City's lead five minutes from time there was no way back for the Vixens.
